Dad’s and kids got a special treat at the Peoria Zoo.
The zoo hosted the second annual “Luke I am your Father’s Day” event.

Jedi’s and storm troopers wandered the zoo taking photos with families and making friends with the animals.
“We just want to give them a chance to come out and enjoy the zoo. This is just another fun option doing the Star Wars, but we’ve got all kinds of great events coming up throughout the year and we always want our families to come out, but today especially for the dads and the kids.”
Many of the animals got into the star wars spirit.
Families participated in themed games, crafts, and even trained in the Jedi academy.
Due to the success of the event zoo officials say they plan to bring it back next year.
