Droids have been a part of Star Wars since the very beginning of the franchise, and part of the reason we love them is their personalities. R2-D2 has his loyalty and sense of humor. C-3PO has his testy attitude and contempt for the rude. BB-8 has his quirkiness and hyperactivity. The list goes on, but my favorite droids in the galaxy all have one thing in common: they’re mean. Not occasionally testy, not sometimes rude. They run on sass and destruction. Droids can’t use the Force (sorry, Skippy the Jedi Droid), but at times I’m left to wonder if the dark side flows through them. Some are nicer than others and some are just crazy, and we love them for it. Here are six droids that are lean, mean, fighting machines.
