A STAR WARS character’s name has become the fastest-rising baby name in the USA.
The franchise is famous the world over, so it shouldn’t be too surprising that one of the names has leap over two thousand places in popularity in just one year.
However it may come as a surprise that it’s not one of the new Star Wars heroes like Rey and Finn, but is in fact that of the main villain.
No, don’t worry, it’s not Snoke. It’s the other one.
Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren – from 2015’s Star Wars The Force Awakens – has jumped 2368 spots to 901st most popular names for boys for 2016, after being the 3269th most popular in 2015, according to Associated Press.
As for other Star Wars characters in the Social Security Administration’s annual list, Anakin came in at 778th most popular name for boys.
Meanwhile for girls Leia, played by the late Carrie Fisher, is 321st most popular for girls.
