Via Express.co.uk:
Speaking on Reddit, Community Manager Mathew Everett clarified a few questions surrounding Battlefront’s mission maps and how they will be unique from those encountered on the game’s multiplayer mode.
It’s already been confirmed that Battlefront will launch with 12 maps, with a further two added through the Battle of Jakku DLC.
And EA have now clarified that Mission Maps do not count toward that number, meaning there will be separate areas to explore when it comes to the carefully crafted solo games.
Everett explained: “Mission maps are unique to Missions. The map count we revealed includes only Multiplayer maps from the base game (12 maps).
“We also have the two extra free maps that will come with the Battle of Jakku. The Battle of Jakku maps will arrive starting on December 1st or December 8th depending if you pre-ordered, which gives us 14 maps total before The Force Awakens arrives in theaters.
“We will reveal the full Mission map count in the near future.”
Everett also gave an update on what to expect from Star Wars Battlefront at E3, adding: ““I think you are going to enjoy the next wave of content and information.
“E3 can’t come soon enough, MoreTreePics!”
