Mind tricks don’t work on him.
As the executive producer of “Star Wars Rebels” and developer behind “The Clone Wars,” Dave Filoni has been one of the chief creative forces behind TV shows set in a galaxy far, far away since the latter series debuted in 2008.
However, he isn’t giving too many details about what the future holds for the crew of the Ghost or possible links to “The Force Awakens.” With the second season of “Rebels” in full swing, he highlights how his teams’ objectives have changed and the show has improved on a technical level.
“There were so many things to things to make the audience familiar with in Season 1, but (in Season 2) it’s really more in-depth, it’s more detailed, in backstory, in visuals. Everything has many more layers to it than we were able to do in Season 1. I think you’ll see the animation has gotten better, the lighting has gotten better.”
We’ve also seen a huge change for the Ghost crew as the show really begins to live up to its name, with our heroes joining a larger resistance effort in the first season’s finale.
“The rebellion is growing in a way that I think fans are more familiar with than it just being a small group of people like it was in Season 1, we see more of an actual resistance against the Empire.”
