The International Festival of sand sculpture Sand City, is the largest sand sculpture theme park in the world and takes place annually since 2003 in Pêra, Algarve.

This year’s Edition has the presence of some sand sculptures of characters from the universe Star Wars. Sand City offers a series of parallel events to the exhibition of sand sculptures, such as activities and demonstrations on the technique of sand sculpting, guided tours, workshops, projections of videos, and a cultural agenda with shows in various artistic forms.
