We went online last night at midnight since we’re both off yesterday until next Monday for the long Labor Day weekend. From your link, I bought a Disney talking Kylo Ren 14″ exclusive from their online store with free shipping. I passed on the opportunity to get a Kylo Ren statue (limited to 700) because I was unsure I wanted to spend that much on one item I wasn’t 100% crazy about, and BB-8 App driven droid (mainly because I don’t have or want a “smart” phone). Needless to say, within 15-20 minutes of me waffling on those items, they were sold out online.
When I woke up this morning, I saw Target had a BB-8 with remote control, exclusive to them. It was sold out online, but I live in Minneapolis (the home of Target). Like Starbucks in Seattle, there is literally a Target every couple miles here. I went to my local Super one (passing two more on the way), and picked up everything I wanted at 10 am.
No one was in the toy aisle but me, and I was shocked that everything was pretty much there. What I was thrilled about was they had six remote control BB-8. I should have bought two (one to play with, one to keep boxed) but didn’t want to be that guy so I got just one. I also picked up all the 12″ $9.99 figures (except Darth Vader, I didn’t want him over the new characters). I did get Chewie however, since he was “deluxe” and is in the movie as a current character. There was only one Finn 12″ figure, so I snagged him first.
But the true grail for me was the Black Series Kylo Ren FX lightsaber! There was only one of these, and I almost dropped everything else to get it! This was the one leaked item from weeks ago I really wanted above all others, but assumed I’d have to wait for it. So that was a nice surprise. Sorry for the long email, but wanted to share my haul and the awesome day off I had. No stress getting these, no midnight crowds, just walked in and casually picked it all up!!
Bonus, Target had $25 off over $100 coupons and $10 off $50, so the cashier let me split the order to get maximum money off :).
