Star Wars Battlefront fans are up in arms with EA.
The announcement of the Outer Rim paid DLC coming later this month was fantastic news for all, but many Battlefront gamers are unhappy with the way the DLC is being handled.
Some aren’t pleased with the expansion’s choice of heroes and the latest grumble from gamers stems from the fact that the DLC’s two new guns will only be available to those who purchase the Outer Rim DLC.
One irate Battlefront fan took to the game’s official forums to tell the team exactly how he felt saying: “The new weapons will only be available to DLC holders.
“Meanwhile games like CoD and Battlefield are giving their new weapons away for FREE. Nice going EA.
“Lets be real here. Your game released with only 11 guns (lacking by today’s standards) and you refuse to give us more unless we spend money on DLC. What a joke. Star wars fans deserve better and you know it.”
Soon enough, sparks began to fly on the official forum thread between the Star Wars Battlefront community arguing over whether the content should be free.
Another key addition was the inclusion of two new playable characters.
The two chosen were Sullustan rebel Nien Nunb, and rodian bounty hunter Greedo.
But many fans are unhappy with what they see as sub-standard hero characters when the game is still missing the likes of Chewbacca, Ben Kenobi or Yoda.
One fan even went as far to call the games lead designer Dennis Brännvall “lazy” and unexpectedly the EA staff member snapped back, before later apologising.
