Star Wars Battlefront Official Trailer from E3

Last year at the annual gaming conference, E3, EA Games announced something Star Wars fans have been anticipating for years: a new installment of ‘Star Wars: Battlefront.’ ‘Battlefront’ has been a longtime fan-favorite ‘Star Wars’ video game that let players reenact battles from the galaxy far, far away. In 2013, EA showed off a short teaser that made the announcement official. With little details to go off of besides a 2015 release date, fans were anxious for more.

This year EA Games treated attendants of E3 to even more footage of the game along with glimpses of behind the scenes work on the project. A couple hours ago, they also shared the trailer via their official Youtube Channel for fans everywhere to watch. You can catch a glimpse at the massive collaboration between EA Games and Lucasfilm Ltd., as they share their goals for the end result of the game. Along with on-site shooting and visiting the archive rooms at Lucasfilm, EA Games shares some actual game footage. More details are coming down the trench in the Spring of 2015.

Star Wars: Battlefront to hit Spring 2015?

According to this report on engadget.com “Sweden-based developer DICE — best known for the Battlefield series — is making Star Wars: Battlefront. Working closely with Lucasfilm, the game launches in spring 2015.”

In addition, CTVnews.ca reports “EA, which announced an exclusive deal last year with Disney to produce “Star Wars” games for the next 10 years, will detail DICE’s intergalactic adventure “Star Wars: Battlefront” during its E3 presentation on Monday, and the company might tease other “Star Wars” games, including one that’s currently being crafted by its Visceral Games studio.”

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) kicked off today in Los Angeles, I am sure we will have plenty more reports as the day and week moves on.
