Romance Between Star Wars Cast Members

Via Metro.co.uk:
The chemistry between Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford was pretty electric in the Star Wars movies, and rumours about an off-screen hook up between the co-stars have been circulating for years.
But while their characters Princess Leia and Han Solo did get together in the film series, Carrie and Harrison have insisted that their real life relationship was always strictly platonic.
However the actress has finally admitted she had a major crush on Harrison when they filmed the first movie in the franchise back in the seventies and they almost got together.
Carrie made the admission when questioned on whether their chemistry was ‘real’ during an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show.

‘I actually recently found my diaries from this [time]… It had some memories in it… I wonder it too,’ she says.
‘So when I found the journals I looked. I haven’t looked all the way through it but I must say it seemed to be trending in that direction.’
She also hints that something more may have happened, joking that she hasn’t read her diary through to the end yet.
Carrie says she was blown away by the actor, who is married to TV star Calista Flockhart, when they first met on the set of 1977 movie Star Wars, as she felt he was the only one of the main cast who ‘looked like a movie star’.

‘Well when I went on the film I really thought, I saw him and he looked like a movie star,’ she added.
‘I met him in LA and read with him and stuff and was too nervous to see him.
‘So when we got on the set I saw him and he was sitting in the Millennium Falcon… and I thought he looked like one of those movie stars which was not how Mark [Hamill] and I appeared.’

Carrie, Harrison and Mark reprised their roles as Princess Leia, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker in the seventh film in the franchise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Filming recently began on Star Wars: Episode VIII and it’s been confirmed that Carrie and Mark will both appear.
