Star Wars fans went into a frenzy yesterday (June 7) after John Boyega seemingly dropped a big spoiler for The Last Jedi.

However, they can rest assured that Finn will NOT be a baddie in the next movie – honestly, we don’t think we could handle him turning back to the dark side after that whole redemption thing in The Force Awakens.

Actor John Boyega got Twitter thumbs wiggling after tweeting out of the blue: “Time to play a villain ey..”.

Yet, this is the world of Twitter and Star Wars, and any tease of seemingly innocent intentions can be taken any which way and back, so naturally Boyega had to clear a few things up.

Responding to one fan who pointed out that many replies were speculating about Finn, he wrote: “Lmao like seriously.”, before clarifying: “Guys please lol it is not Star Wars related!”

While that may have thought he put that one to rest, the force awakened once again as Mark Hamill entered the conversation.

“See how easy it is to accidentally leak a spoiler, son? (Hope you didn’t say anything about OUR relationship in #EpVIII) #ScaredSithless,” the Luke Skywalker actor tweeted in response.
