This year sees the glorious return of Star Wars thanks to the highly anticipated Episode 7: The Force Awakens. Therefore, it should be no surprise that DICE’s long-awaited Star Wars Battlefront will also launch around the same time. As I’m sure you already know, a large number of companies tend to develop games based on popular movies just so they can benefit from all the hype associated with them. Unfortunately, said games are more often than not pretty bad and frankly a disgrace to the industry as a whole, however, every now and again somebody actually decides to put out a decent game. Although it’s a bit soon to say for certain, Star Wars Battlefront seems to fall into this category and as fate would have it, you can already get it at a discount from CDKeys.
Assuming there won’t be any delays, the game should launch on November 17th for the price of $60 or your regional equivalent. That’s 60 EUROs or even 60 pounds depending on where you live, which naturally amounts to more than 60 bucks. But we’re not here to talk about unfair pricing systems, we’re here to talk about the Star Wars Battlefront deal. CDKeys is offering anyone the possibility of pre-ordering the title for just $42, a pretty decent discount considering that most deals of this type tend to appear a few months after a game is released, not a few months before. Needless to say, this is a pre-order so if you choose to look into this deal expect to get you Star Wars Battlefront key only on its launch day or possibly shortly before that.
It’s worth mentioning that this is the standard edition of the game, although honestly the Deluxe Edition priced at $70 offers very little in the way of interesting extra content. We’re talking three additional items and a couple of emotes. Is it worth the price? That will be up to you to decide, but if you ask me EA has to add in a little something extra here. What both versions have in common though is that pre-ordering either the standard or the deluxe edition will grant you free early access to the Episode 7 DLC. Based on what we know about EA a minimum of two or three additional DLC packs will likely be announced in the near future (probably at E3) so stay tuned as we’ll be telling you all about them. Star Wars Battlefront will come out on November 17th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
