‘Elstree 1976’ Trailer

Via USAtoday.com:

Everybody knows Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, so a new documentary is focusing on Star Wars’ more unheralded stars.

Written and directed by Jon Spira, Elstree 1976 (in theaters and on video-on-demand platforms May 6) chronicles how several supporting actors and extras played key roles and characters in the making of George Lucas’ original trilogy plus looks at how the franchise has affected their lives and careers ever since. (The title refers to Elstree Studios in London where Lucas filmed the first Star Wars movies.)

This exclusive trailer showcases two guys who wore some iconic helmets back in the day, David Prowse (who played Darth Vader) and Jeremy Bulloch (the men in the armor of Boba Fett), and they discuss their time on the convention circuit as well as old memories. Prowse discusses practicing his lightsaber fight with Alec Guinness “like kids in the back garden,” and Bulloch talks about Lucas in the earliest days: “He said, ‘Welcome aboard. It’s not a big role but I think you’ll have some fun.’ “
