I heard you were looking for a droid, and you don’t want that dull orange and white droid over there. You want a shiny gold droid studded with diamonds. Kay Jewelers created the world’s most luxurious BB-8. It’s Mr. T meets Star Wars at its finest. This is the droid you’re looking for.

The gold droid stands over 4 inches (10 centimeters) tall and weighs more than 1.5 pounds (a little over half a kilogram). It’s slathered in 18-karat yellow gold and stuffed with 18 carats of diamonds. The diamond count tops 860 stones. The Jawas probably won’t want to sell this particular robot. Glamour reports that it’s been appraised at $135,000 (about £89,700, AU$185,100).

It took Kay Jewelers more than 600 hours to design and build the round bling machine. The droid’s body is hollow, and the diamonds applied by hand.

Kay created the luxe BB-8 to go on display at the Force 4 Fashion event held in New York City on Wednesday. The fundraising event involved fashion designers reimagining costumes from Star Wars. The BB-8 is destined to go up for auction, with the proceeds earmarked for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Details on the auction are not yet available.

This isn’t the first time Kay has wielded the power of the Force. The company offers a whole line of Star Wars-related jewelry, including a Darth Vader charm bracelet, Rebel Alliance earrings and a Death Star ring.

BB-8 is already a breakout star of the upcoming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” movie, set to open in theaters worldwide in mid-December. Sphero turned the droid into a popular rolling toy and fans are busy making crafty versions of the bot, like this pumpkin BB-8.

With the exception of C-3PO, most Star Wars droids aren’t very shiny. The golden BB-8 will have C-3PO looking for his polishing cloth and R2-D2 wondering if he’s a candidate for an electroplating upgrade.
