Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley has poured cold water on any rumours linking her to the next set of trilogies after this year’s The Rise of Skywalker.
Daisy burst onto the scene as Rey in JJ Abrams’ The Force Awakens back in 2015 and has since starred in Rian Johnson’s 2017 follow-up The Last Jedi – where her character developed into a heroic warrior under the tutelage of Jedi master Luke Skywalker.
But with Johnson and two Game of Thrones bosses (Dan Weiss and David Benioff) kicking off their own separate trilogies in the Star Wars universe, fans have been questioning if we can expect to see more from Rey.
When quizzed on this, the actress told BuzzFeed: “I mean, I can say I’m not in the next trilogy. No.
“I think, ’cause Rian always said… if it’s the Rian one… or it’s the guys that did Game of Thrones. I’m not sure. Whichever one it was, they always said it was going to be a separate story. So I’m not, no.”
