Revisit The Other First ‘Star Wars’ Teasers

If you’Chances are, if you’re like us and have a LEGO AT-AT, Wedge Antilles action figure and a Boba Fett statue in your basement, you’re already over-the-forest-moon-of-Endor excited for the 88-second teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiering in 30 theaters around the country Friday. (You know, 88 seconds is certainly enough time for a couple shadowy character introductions, at least one lightsaber, an appearance by Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and/or Mark Hamill, and some Millennium Falcon pew-pews.)

It’s also reminded us that, ever since the first Star Wars in 1977, teasers have been part of George Lucas’ sci-fi franchise. And not trailers — no, we’re talking short teasers that drive fans into slack-jawed conniptions because, dagnabbit, they’re gotta see more right now!
