We were not going to even post this, but people keep sending us messages about it, so we will.  Despite what you may have read on other sites, or what other blogs have spun as “Hasbro reached out to us” – The truth is that Hasbro sent a blanket e-mail to the 300+ people (not just a select few) who will be attending the NYTF event on Saturday the 13th letting us know that we won’t see toys based on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.  We got almost the identical email last year about TFA, this is not big news which is why we were not even going to post it.  The quote from Hasbro was

“We wanted to let you know that there will be no toys based on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story shown at Toy Fair this year. While there will be a small selection of new Star Wars toys revealed at Toy Fair and in the days leading up to it, none of them will be directly based on the new characters from the upcoming film.”

Again, no big deal, this makes sense (the same way they held back TFA toys last year).
