There’s the breathing mechanism, obviously, but then you’ve also got the prosthetics, the voice modification, and that’s before you even get started on the whole augmented reality thing.

By analysing costs based on real-life items like a NASA space suit and an f-35 helmet, Shade Station have calculated how much money Vader’s outfit might cost in real life…

Yep, it’s that base suit that really makes the dent.
