Star Wars’ Darth Maul actor Ray Park reveals he would be opening to starring in a team-up movie with bounty hunter Boba Fett. Park made his debut in the galaxy far, far away back in The Phantom Menace, where the character seemingly perished at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, Maul was eventually brought back to life, where he became an integral part of Lucasfilm’s animated shows The Clone Wars and Rebels. And though he definitively died on the small screen during Rebels’ third season, the revival meant Lucasfilm could get creative with Maul in the films.
One of the biggest shocks of Solo: A Star Wars Story was the third act reveal that Maul was the leader of the Crimson Dawn crime syndicate. Park once again played the character (Sam Witwer supplied the voice), even taking the time to get into shape as he worked through a hip injury. With Maul’s scene playing like a tease for future installments, some viewers are wondering if the former Sith Lord will be seen in theaters again at some point, and Park has some cool ideas.
In an interview with Nerdist, Park was asked about the possibility of Maul joining forces with Boba Fett in a film. Coincidentally, Park trains with actor Daniel Logan, who played Boba in Attack of the Clones. Park was certainly open to the concept:
“I hope so. It would be cool. For many years, when Daniel was coming over before Solo, I said, you never know, one day they may do something. Daniel is one of these guys who’s Mr. Natural. He doesn’t actually have to work at doing anything, he can just do it. So with some work, he could be unbelievable.”
