It was a party, so the lighting, awesome DJ and party lights made it very hard to get a good video (as well as all the camera flashes from other media members) but we still wanted to share the experience of the best party at NYCC, The Hasbro ‘Twas the Night Before Party with our readers. See a quick demo of the REBELS EZRA BRIDGER LIGHTSABER BLASTER from Joe N. at Hasbro. Joe was awesome to talk to all night and will be a welcome addition to the team! Also a quick look at the THE BLACK SERIES 6-Inch and 3.75 inch Action Figures, REBELS Action Figures and more. Please note the video is just for fun, to see the all the great figures and items, see our gallery here.

Star Wars Rebels to Air on ABC With A Darth Vader Scene
Via Starwars.com:
The critically-acclaimed epic adventure Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion will air on ABC on Sunday, October 26 (7:00 p.m. ET/PT). Executive producer Dave Filoni states, “We wanted to do something special for the ABC broadcast. We’ve added a scene which gives audiences insight into the Inquisitor and includes a cameo by Darth Vader voiced by the distinguished actor James Earl Jones.”
The television movie Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion delivered 6.5-million viewers in its premieres on Disney Channel and Disney XD around the world including the U.S. and 16 markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa and Canada. The Star Wars Rebels weekly series on Disney XD (Mondays 9:00 p.m. ET/PT), has been renewed for a second season.
Set between the events of Star Wars Episodes III and IV, the Star Wars Rebels story unfolds during a dark time when the evil Galactic Empire is tightening its grip of power on the galaxy. Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet and are ruining the lives of its people. The motley but clever crew of the starship Ghost – cowboy Jedi Kanan, ace pilot Hera, street-smart teenager Ezra, the “muscle” Zeb, warrior firebrand Sabine, and grumpy old astromech droid Chopper – will face threatening new villains, embark on thrilling adventures and become heroes with the power to ignite a rebellion.
The voice cast includes Freddie Prinze Jr. as Kanan, Vanessa Marshall as Hera, Steve Blum as Zeb, Tiya Sircar as Sabine, Taylor Gray as Ezra, David Oyelowo as Agent Kallus and Jason Isaacs as the Inquisitor.
“Star Wars Rebels” is created by Dave Filoni (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars”), Simon Kinberg (“X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “Sherlock Holmes”), and Carrie Beck. The Lucasfilm Animation production is also executive-produced by Filoni and Kinberg as well as Greg Weisman (“Gargoyles”).
2015 Lego Images Revealed
Via Groovebricks.com:
We’ve been waiting patiently for months for this day to come… Just2good over on YouTube has posted the very first official LEGO Star Wars 2015 set images! We’ve had the rumored list of sets for quite some time now, but no official visuals. Now that we do, we know how much we need to save and which sets we’ll be getting.
Below we have visuals of all the sets except for the ARC-170 Starfighter (75072), Hailfire Droid (75085), and Anakin’s Custom Jedi Starfighter (75087). The first on is a Micofighter meanwhile the other two are normal scale sets.
Something worth pointing out though is the fact that we now have the Disney logo one every single box. I found this to be rather interesting since I wasn’t expecting Disney to slap their logo onto every single Star Wars product. I personally don’t like that they did this, but there isn’t much we can do about it.
Setting that aside, the sets you’ll see below are:
Vulture Droid (75073)
Snowspeeder (75074)
AT-AT (75075)
Republic Gunship (75076)
Homing Spider Droid (75077)
Imperial Troop Transport (75078)
Shadow Troopers (75079)
AAT (75080)
T-16 Skyhopper (75081)
TIE Advanced Prototype (75082)
AT-DP (75083)
Wookiee Gunship (75084)
Battle Troop Droid Carrier (75086)
Senate Commando Troopers (75088)
Geonosis Troopers (75089)
Ezra’s Speeder Bike (75090)

SIMON KINBERG Interview Part 2
Via Starwars.com:
In part two of StarWars.com’s interview with Simon Kinberg, executive producer of Star Wars Rebels, we take a deep dive into the show’s one-hour series premiere, “Spark of Rebellion.” Kinberg, who wrote the landmark episode, discusses what he’s learned from fellow executive producer Dave Filoni, the positive message of the series, and finally getting to scratch a zero-G itch.
StarWars.com: I’d like to walk through the episode in detail. The first thing that really struck me was the opening shot, with the Star Destroyer passing over Ezra. I saw it as a great visual callback to the beginning of A New Hope, but it makes it much more personal and shows that the Empire has arrived at this planet and has brought tyranny with it. How did you come up with that opening?

Rebels Producer Talks About the Series
Via Blastr.com:
We might still have a while to wait until J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII arrives, but the new era of Star Wars officially kicked off this past weekend with the new animated series Rebels.
Producer Dave Filoni, a carryover from the Star Wars: Clone Wars series, is a key member of the modern-day Lucasfilm braintrust and chatted with Collider about the new series in the wake of the Star Wars: Rebels premiere this past weekend on Disney Channel.
The premiere didn’t blow our socks off, but it was solid. You could tell they were playing it safe to reintroduce the world of Star Wars with a whole new cast of characters out to fight the evil Empire in a different corner of the galaxy. But it did have a few nice nods to the original trilogy, and not surprisingly, that was done largely by design.
Filoni opened up about the challenge of meshing with the larger universe while avoiding the easter egg farm problem, and he had some interesting thoughts after a decade of creating Star Wars canon. Oh, and he also borrowed some tech from the classic Star Wars toys made by Kenner. Now, that’s what we call one epic easter egg:
