THE MIGHT OF THE EMPIRE GROWS AND FAN FAVORITES DEBUT IN NEW EPISODES OF STAR WARS REBELS SEASON 2

The critically-acclaimed animated series, Star Wars Rebels, is set to debut new episodes starting Wednesday, October 14 (9:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD.

In Star Wars Rebels Season Two, past lives will be revealed and the destiny of our heroes will be changed forever. The transformative new season resumes with Imperial oppression on Lothal growing stronger and the Rebels seeking out new allies and additional resources to sustain their fight against the evil Empire. With the help of Ahsoka Tano, the crew of the Ghost enlists some old friends: ex-clone troopers who fought in the Clone Wars. As the Rebels grow in number, so do their enemies. New Inquisitors are dispatched by Darth Vader and sent to crush any threat of rebellion. Through dangerous rescue missions, thrilling space chases, and spectacular lightsaber duels — the bond of our Rebel crew will be put to the test like never before.

Star Wars Rebels Season 2 Sneak Peek At NYCC

Fans attending New York Comic Con on Thursday, October 8th will receive an exclusive sneak peek of what’s to come in the second season of Star Wars Rebels with a panel featuring special guests plus a preview screening of two new episodes from the series.

As the second season of Star Wars Rebels opens, the crew of the Ghost is now considered a very real threat to the Empire and has caught the attention of Darth Vader himself. Undeterred, the rebels seek out old friends and add powerful allies to their cause, forming the beginnings of a more formidable alliance against the Empire. To stop them, Vader will dispatch new agents to hunt down their growing coalition, determined to snuff them out before they can ignite a galaxy to rebellion.

The Star Wars Rebels panel will take place on the Empire Stage from 1:30-2:30 p.m. and will be followed by an exclusive screening of two new episodes later on the same stage, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. These all-new episodes will feature the series debut of Captain Rex, Captain Gregor and Commander Wolffe – three clones from the previous Star Wars animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. They join another fan favorite from The Clone Wars – Ahsoka Tano – who made her Star Wars Rebels debut in the final episode of season 1.

Star Wars Rebels returns with new episodes this fall on Disney XD.

Star Wars Rebels Season 2 Upcoming Episode’s Title

Star Wars Rebels season 2 will return with new episodes in September, and the upcoming episode is titled The Lost Commanders.

According to a report, the episode features the return of the clone troopers CT-7567 (Rex), CC-3636 (Wolffe), and CC-5576-39 (Gregor) from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The episode will air in fall 2015.

Star Wars Rebels season 2 premiered with a one-hour episode on 20 June which featured Darth Vader taking on the ghost crew.

Fans witnessed the Sith Lord’s skills when he single-handedly battled Kanan, Ezra, Sabine, Hera, and Zeb with just one lightsaber. He also displayed his unequalled piloting skills when he faced an entire rebel fleet on his own.

Ashley Eckstein Talks The Impact Of Her Universe, Star Wars: Rebels Role

The Her Universe Fashion Show rocked San Diego Comic-Con, so we caught up to chat with founder Ashley Eckstein about what’s next. Of course, we also talked to her about her role as Ahsoka in Star Wars: Rebels.

The Her Universe Fashion Show has quickly grown into a SDCC tradition, with wild and geeky fashion displayed in the classic runway environment. The event is a ton of fun, and it shows off some of the coolest geek-wear on the planet. Well, guess what? They’re turning the show into a full-on reality TV series on Comic-Con International SVOD channel, and we got the scoop from Eckstein on that project.

Eckstein also chatted a bit about her major Star Wars animated character Ahsoka, who recently made the transition from The Clone Wars to Star Wars: Rebels. She’s been a true creative spark to the new series, and Eckstein opens up about the character’s impact and the riskiness involved in creating this strong, female character.

Star Wars Rebels has returned! “The Siege of Lothal” kicked off Season Two, and the hour-long movie event didn’t hold back. At all. The crew of the Ghost is part of a bigger machine now. They’re working with the rebellion rather than continuing to go on solo missions, and the change in structure has required some adjustments — I’m looking at you, Kanan. While Hera and company worked with the Phoenix Squadron, Darth Vader arrived on Lothal to track down the rebels and stop them. Because there was so much to take in, let’s review eight of the coolest moments in “The Siege of Lothal.”
1. Everything about Darth Vader

Darth Vader has appeared in Star Wars Rebels before, but it was only briefly. He made the full scope of his power known on Lothal and laid a careful, multi-part plan for the Ghost crew. Whether he was intimidating Minister Tua, engaging Kanan and Ezra in battle, or single-handedly taking on a squadron of fighters, he was the fearsome Sith Lord we all know him to be.

Darth Vader In Star Wars Rebels Second Season Premiere Teaser

The premiere of the second season of Star Wars Rebels is just a couple weeks away. We’ve already seen the season premiere thanks to Star Wars Celebration (check out our video blog from afterwards here), but everyone else has been waiting patiently. And now we have a new tease of the second season’s one-hour first episode, The Siege of Lothal.

It looks like Darth Vader is going to play pretty prominently, at least in this first episode, as he’s been dispatched by the Emperor to hunt down our heroes. Watch the Star Wars Rebels second season premiere teaser after the jump!

Here’s the Star Wars Rebels teaser, originally from Disney:

Will we see other characters from the original Star Wars trilogy pop up in this season? Only time will tell, but it’s probably a good guarantee that we’ll see more than Darth Vader popping up this season. After all, the first season had C-3PO, R2-D2 and Lando Calrissian, just to name a few.

There’s also the chance for some prequel or Clone Wars characters to return as well. We’ve already seen Bail Organa and the return of Ahsoka Tano, so anything can happen. And don’t forget that we’ve heard that there’s a chance some of the characters from Star Wars Rebels could actually end up crossing over into the live-action films. And we know that the show has at least some impact on what may happen in the franchise since it’s already changed Star Wars history a bit.

Otherwise, there’s also some new characters who will be entering the fray, with Sarah Michelle Gellar taking a big voice role this season. We’re not sure who she’s playing yet, but it’ll be interesting to see how her character ends up engaging with Kanan, since the Jedi is voiced by Gellar’s real-life husband Freddie Prinze Jr.
