the Special One-Hour Season Two Finale of Star Wars Rebels on March 30 at 9pm ET/PT on Disney XD!

In the shocking season 2 finale of Star Wars Rebels, destinies will be forever changed and iconic characters will re-emerge in what will surely be the most talked about episode of the season. In the one-hour finale, Kanan, Ezra and Ahsoka seek out an Inquisitor to gain information about Vader, but soon encounter an unexpected ally in their fight against the Sith. When their search leads them to a confrontation with Vader (voiced by James Earl Jones), the three Jedi and their new ally must marshal all their strengths to survive. The two-part finale, which airs March 30th, is directed by series Executive Producer Dave Filoni and features the return of Darth Maul, voiced by The Clone Wars’ Sam Witwer.

the next episode of Star Wars Rebels on March 16th at 9pm ET/PT on Disney XD!

Accidentally abandoned at an outpost during a hasty escape, Chopper stows away on an Imperial freighter where he befriends an Imperial navigation droid, recruiting him to the rebel cause and receiving his help in finding a location for the much-needed rebel base.

No new episode next week, but an all-new episode of “Star Wars Rebels” returns WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD.

ZEB’S CHARACTER GROWTH IN STAR WARS REBELS SEASON TWO

Studying Skywalkers is an exclusive column that investigates the characters, themes, and lessons of Star Wars from an educational, literary perspective. In this installment, StarWars.com looks at Zeb’s growth in Season Two of Star Wars Rebels.

Recently, Star Wars.com has looked at Kanan and Hera’s growth in Season Two of Star Wars Rebels, as well as the development of Ezra and Sabine; these four characters help form the crew of the Ghost, but there is another: Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios, the last survivor of the planet, Lasan. Through much of the series, Zeb has taken a bit of a back seat to the previously mentioned characters, but that does not make him any less important. In fact, once he takes center stage, we learn much more about not only Zeb, but the Star Wars universe, as well.

Dave Filoni Talks About ‘Star Wars Rebels’

Mind tricks don’t work on him.

As the executive producer of “Star Wars Rebels” and developer behind “The Clone Wars,” Dave Filoni has been one of the chief creative forces behind TV shows set in a galaxy far, far away since the latter series debuted in 2008.

However, he isn’t giving too many details about what the future holds for the crew of the Ghost or possible links to “The Force Awakens.” With the second season of “Rebels” in full swing, he highlights how his teams’ objectives have changed and the show has improved on a technical level.

“There were so many things to things to make the audience familiar with in Season 1, but (in Season 2) it’s really more in-depth, it’s more detailed, in backstory, in visuals. Everything has many more layers to it than we were able to do in Season 1. I think you’ll see the animation has gotten better, the lighting has gotten better.”

We’ve also seen a huge change for the Ghost crew as the show really begins to live up to its name, with our heroes joining a larger resistance effort in the first season’s finale.

“The rebellion is growing in a way that I think fans are more familiar with than it just being a small group of people like it was in Season 1, we see more of an actual resistance against the Empire.”
