The Rancho Obi-Wan Experience is at Star Wars Celebration Chicago April 11-15, 2019
McCormick Place, Hall F1, Booth 5516

Our exhibit will feature a 20-year retrospective on Star Wars Celebration, dazzling collectibles for the female fan, and a stunning display of helmets.

In addition we will have a great variety of Rancho Obi-Wan branded merchandise for sale, a super fun spinning wheel with an assortment of merchandise from the Star Wars collecting past, and a sweepstakes you can enter to win a book autographed by George Lucas.

All current supporting Members of Rancho Obi-Wan get a lightspeed pass to bypass the line into The Rancho Obi-Wan Experience. We’ll be printing Memberships and Lightspeed passes at the Con all week–please support our mission of inspiration by becoming a Member at Celebration!

Speaking of Memberships, the new 2019 Thank You gift has arrived and is now shipping! It includes a special patch, a letter from Steve and a personalized Membership card. Renewing Members receive a lapel pin!

As with previous Celebrations, the Collecting Track will host a Swap Meet!

SWAP MEET: The tradition continues! Plan to attend the Swap Meet in the Collectors’ Lounge (Room W476) on Saturday, April 13 from 7PM to 9PM. This is always a fun event, with a vast array of collectibles up for sale. This year, we’ll be taking reservations for those interested in setting up a table, on a first-come basis, starting Friday morning in the Collectors’ Lounge.”

The Collecting Track will be accepting donations of your personal fan-made swag (patches, pins, shirts, etc) in the Collectors’ Lounge (Room W476) on Thursday (during the Collectors’ Social), as well as on Friday and Saturday. Your Swag will be placed on display in showcases in the Collectors’ Lounge. We will be accepting bids as a silent auction, culminating in a live auction at 3 PM on Saturday, with all proceeds from the auction benefiting Rancho Obi-Wan.

 

Celebration Patch Giveaway News

Acclaimed fan sites and podcasts Creature Cantina, Rebel Scum, Star Wars Action News, This Week in Star Wars, and Yakface are giving away an exclusive puzzle-patch set at Star Wars Celebration Chicago. When combined, the full six-piece forms an image of iconic Star Wars villain Darth Maul, commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

The patch set will be given away exclusively as part of the Star Wars Celebration Chicago Collecting Track. Fans are invited to stop by and meet the faces behind their favorite collecting sites at scheduled times in the Collecting Track Social Area. The exclusive patch set is available while supplies last, so fans are encouraged to arrive early!

The Collecting Track Social Area (Room W476) is located next door to the Collecting Track Panel Room. Meet-and-greet schedules are as follows:

  • Rebelscum – Saturday, April 13, 10:30 a.m.
  • Star Wars Action News Saturday, April 13, 4:30 p.m.

The sixth puzzle piece will be given away at random times during events in the Social Area, which is also where fans can enjoy Q&As with Collecting Track Panelists, collector meet-ups, live collecting podcasts, trading, and more!

Celebration News: Collecting Track Announcement

The Collecting Track is proud to announce the last 6 Star Tots we will be giving away at Celebration! Sandtrooper! Chief Chirpa! C-3PO in Backpack! Leia in Ewok Village dress! Gargan! And Oola!

As a reminder, each Tot is an enameled metal character-shaped medallion, done in the style of the vintage unproduced Kenner Star Tots preschool line. They are official, fully licensed Celebration exclusives and can only be found at our panels. And each comes with a special mini-coin, inspired by the vintage Kenner Power of the Force coins! We even got the same company to produce them for us!
