STAR WARS CELEBRATION 2017: COMPLETE LIST OF TRADING PINS

Each pin represents one year of the franchise’s history in honor of its 40th anniversary.

Collectors get ready, because Star Wars Celebration is again rolling out an awesome set of pins exclusive to this year’s show.

Three sets of trading pins have already been revealed as part of the Road to Celebration, and now IGN can reveal the remaining pins that will be available. Check out all of the 2017 Star Wars Celebration trading pins below:

This year’s pin set are designed by Derek Laufman. The 40 unique Star Wars character pins represent one year of the franchise’s history in honor of its 40th anniversary.

Rancho Obi-Wan At Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017

Rancho Obi-Wan will be exhibiting at Star Wars Celebration Orlando, April 13-16, 2017, booth 2701 near the main entrance to Exhibit Hall B.

To commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars, the Rancho exhibit will create a Star Wars bedroom and play area of the era that kids and fans could only dream about. It will be filled with vintage Star Wars memorabilia from all over the world. Come meet owner Steve Sansweet and get his autograph (always free!)

Supporting Members of Rancho Obi-Wan get a line pass–the ability to enter the booth through the Member-only line. If you are already a Member look for the pass in your email by April 5th. Or become a Member before April 5th and a pass will be emailed to you.

Our goal this convention is to raise $60,000 which will enable ROW to operate through the summer. Rancho Obi-Wan exists on a shoestring budget most of which is spent on insurance, utilities, taxes and fees, protection of the collection and funds to fulfill our own charitable goals.

Note to Members who are not attending Celebration: both Celebration patches and the pre-order will be available to you through our online store after we return from Orlando.

FREDDIE PRINZE JR. AND SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR WILL BE AT STAR WARS CELEBRATION ORLANDO

THE STAR WARS REBELS ACTORS WILL BE SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS THIS APRIL!

While they clashed many times on Star Wars Rebels, Kanan Jarrus and the Seventh Sister are both coming to Star Wars Celebration Orlando.

Freddie Prinze Jr. (Kanan Jarrus) and Sarah Michelle Gellar (the Seventh Sister) are officially set to attend the upcoming event, and will be signing autographs at the Star Wars Celebration Autograph Hall in Orlando this April, The Topps Company and Authenticators, Inc. announced today.

As Kanan, Prinze Jr. has defined a major character in Star Wars lore — a survivor of the Jedi purge who plays a role in forming the Rebel Alliance, while training young Ezra Bridger in the ways of the Force. This will be his second Celebration appearance. Gellar’s Seventh Sister, a dark-side wielding Jedi hunter, was one of the great villains in the show’s second season. Gellar is attending Celebration for the first time.

Hallmark 2017 Convention Exclusives Part 1: Star Wars Celebration

Beginnings: Stormtrooper™ keepsake ornament features the shield-carrying, lightsaber-wielding armored soldier inspired by the styling of famed artist Ralph McQuarrie in preproduction art for Star Wars: A New Hope. In the 40 years since their creation, McQuarrie’s original visions for the Star Wars galaxy of characters, vehicles and planets continues to inspire and delight fans. Beginnings: Stormtrooper has a total production run of 2,600 and sales will be limited to 650 per day.

This is Hallmark’s 21st year of producing Keepsake Ornaments that capture favorite memories of the Star Wars saga, including event-exclusive ornaments that first were produced in 2008. 

Snaggletooth™ and Hammerhead™ bring the Mos Eisley Cantina to Hallmark’s itty bittys® line. Hammerhead and a red-suited version of Snaggletooth itty bittys® are designed and packaged with a nod to the original Star Wars action figures. Each itty bitty, packaged in a blister card, has a total production run of 3,000 and sales will be limited to 750 per day. In addition, a blue-suited Snaggletooth will be available “loose”, not carded and has a total production run of 1,000 with sales limited to 250 per day.

Star Wars Artists Fight for the Rebellion at Star Wars Celebration Orlando

Hundreds of artists were considered for the Star Wars Celebration Art Show, in the end Lucasfilm and the panel of judges narrowed down their selection to just 32 artists to create exclusive new illustrations for the event. Two of the featured artists are the duo of Joe Corroney and Hi-Fi color design’s Brian Miller who frequently collaborate on cover illustrations for sci-fi comics like The X-Files, Star Trek, and Doctor Who as well as Star Wars art for book covers, Star Wars Insider magazine, Topps trading cards, Disney Parks, and Star Wars collectables for ACME Archives & Dark Ink Art. 
 
Joe Corroney and Brian Miller each chose to represent the Rebellion in their Star Wars Celebration exclusive illustrations titled, ‘STAR WARS: 40 YEARS OF THE FORCE’ & ‘I REBEL’. Between the two artist they have managed to capture the essence of the original Star Wars film as well as embrace the latest film in the franchise, Rogue One. Joe had this to say about his newest illustration, “I absolutely loved Rogue One, especially the character of Jyn Erso from the film. For this new print I wanted to capture the defiance of her character during one of the key action sequences on Jedha, Also, the title of the artwork is actually a quote taken from a cut scene from the film which appeared in the trailers when Jyn infamously says “I rebel”. The Star Wars saga has a great history of strong, heroic female characters that fans all over the world have looked up to and have been inspired by. I’m hoping female fans especially will really respond positively to this new art because of our own current period in history with women all over the world courageously marching and taking a stand against oppression for themselves and for the rights of others.”
 
When asked about his artwork for Celebration Miller says,’STAR WARS: 40 YEARS OF THE FORCE’ is a salute to the anniversary of the 1977 release of Star Wars. The idea was to illustrate Star Wars in a manner evocative of the time period. I love the scene where Luke Skywalker turns off the targeting computer in his X-Wing fighter and uses the Force to focus on his target. It’s symbolic of Luke truly embracing the light side of the force and beginning his journey to becoming a Jedi. In this pivotal moment Darth Vader has Luke’s X-Wing in his sights until Han Solo and Chewbacca return in the Millennium Falcon to blast the TIE Fighters. The Rebel and the scoundrel work together to destroy the Death Star and save the rebellion. It’s a timeless moment and one I am proud to have captured with this new illustration.
 
Both artists will be attending Star Wars Celebration Orlando April 13 – 16 where their artwork will be featured in the Celebration Art Show. Limited edition, officially licensed prints of the artwork are being made available exclusively for attendees as well. “Joe and I are thrilled to share our Star Wars art with everyone at Celebration Orlando,” comments Miller, “Seeing longtime Star Wars fans again and spending time with the other illustrators makes it that much more special”. Joe Corroney adds, “There’s definitely a feeling of family among all of us Star Wars artists. It’s like a reunion, we catch up with each other at Celebration”.
 
As artists who work on officially licensed Lucasfilm projects Joe Corroney and Brian Miller also participate in Celebration programming for the fans. Joe will be sketching Star Wars characters at Booth No. 2810 and Brian will be participating in the Star Wars Kids art program. Kids can learn how to make droids with Brian during the “Create a paper-craft BB-8″ event at Celebration.
