Nerdist.com gets the scoop on Hasbro’s New Star Wars Toys at SDCC!

Via Nerdist.com:

San Diego Comic-Con is mere weeks away, and that means announcements are steamrolling across nerdom on all fronts–including the world of toys. Hasbro’s booth is always a must-see spot in the exhibit hall for me because I have to press my face against the glass display cases (sorry for the nose prints, Hasbro) and look at all their newest Star Wars releases. I recall drooling when I saw the Ahsoka Tano Black Series figure there last summer. Their 2016 display won’t disappoint, and I know this because we have an exclusive look at brand new Star Wars products they’ll be showcasing at Comic-Con.

They’re featuring characters from Star Wars Rebels, Return of the Jedi, and The Force Awakens. You’ll soon be able to pick up 12 inch versions of Kanan Jarrus and Darth Vader with electronic touches, a 3.75 inch figure of Hera Syndulla packaged with an A-wing, a 12 inch biker scout with his speeder bike, and a new 3.75 inch Rey figure.

Action figure superstore Entertainment Earth celebrates 20th anniversary

Via Examiner.com:

Since its website first went live 20 years ago, Entertainment Earth has distinguished itself as the authoritative source for toys and collectibles, offering tens of thousands of unique items available for order and pre-order at any given time. With a staff of experts who are themselves personal collectors, Entertainment Earth serves as the “go-to” source for the latest and greatest action figures, bobble heads, toys, gifts, and collectibles.

Entertainment Earth wasn’t always the force it is now, however; in the early days, it was staffed by just three employees in a small garage in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. But the dreams of Aaron and Jason Labowitz were far greater than the expanse of their 1996 workspace, and the company soon grew into the true powerhouse it is today, with an acclaimed warehouse and a staff of over 125 employees – and growing.

“I’m a collector myself,” says Jason Labowitz, President and Co-Founder of Entertainment Earth. “I knew in 1996 that it was impossible to have the newest action figures and toys shipped to my house, at retail prices, in mint condition, and Aaron and I decided to do something about it. We originally started this company as a one-stop source for the Star Wars action figure collector. Over the years, our dear clients have led us to apply our deep knowledge of the collector market to cover all corners of the pop culture industry. From gift buyer to fan of the latest blockbuster movie to serious collector of anything licensed, we have something for you.”

Daniel’s wife has updated the world that Daniel passed away last night:

Daniel put up an amazing fight to the very end. He is now one with God and with the force. He passed in his sleep and in peace. He will always be my idol and my hero. Please hug uncle Marc for me and give Lucy lots of kisses. Rest in peace my love. This was the last selfie we ever took together.‪#‎forcefordaniel‬

Hasbro Q&A Session at SDCC 2014 Video!

Check out the video below and see what they had to say about the new Saga Legends and Mission Series lines, why the carded images have the word “Rebels” under them and some do not, about the 5 POA figures and the appeal of them for older collectors, female characters in the 3.75 lines, will there be a 1st day of issue carding for Rebels like there was for The Clone Wars, more Droid Factory Build-A-Droid astromech figures at Disney, how would you describe the items you are working on for Episode 7 and more!

Check it out below and a HUGE thanks to William and Jeff for the time! They also hint to more BIG things to come, it’ a must watch!
