Alpha codes have gone out for Star Wars Battlefront 2, and everyone getting their hands on the game for the first time in a less-controlled setting than E3 has led many to focus on one aspect that wasn’t highlighted at the show, Star Cards.
Star Cards mainly modify existing abilities for heroes, adding bonus damage, length, distance, resistance to various skills in common, uncommon, rare, epic and legendary rarity. The more rare the card, the bigger the boost. They are found in loot boxes.

The original Star Wars Battlefront (not the original original, but you know what I mean) was heavily criticized for relying on a pricey season pass that locked away most of the game’s best content as DLC. This time around, the central message rolled out at E3 was “we heard you,” and it seemed like the DICE was adopting a Titanfall 2-like mentality. All future hero and map DLC would be free, for everyone. Cue the Ewok celebration on Endor.
