Stride Rite has been creating Star Wars kids shoes since the 1980’s and just announced a new collection just in time for the new film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. For the first time ever, this year’s collection includes a limited line for parents to re-live the nostalgia of the Star Wars saga and share it with their kids. Stride Rite is creating a limited edition adult sneaker with a mini-me companion sneaker style (sold separately).

Stride Rite has provided us with a set of these new shoes, so we are able to bring you an in hand and on foot review!

Luke I am your Father is the adult shoe. It comes in a Star Wars The Force Awakens box featuring Kylo Ren. The shoe features suede uppers. The shoe is dark blue with a silver Darth Vader design and a galactic digi print. The outsoles feature the Death Star window emblem, ship engine details and Star Wars logo. The shoe laces are green with Star Wars written on them. This shoe not only looks great on but is also very comfortable to wear. It is sturdy construction with a supportive innersole.

Retro Skywalker is the children’s shoe. It also comes in a Star Wars The Force Awakens box. This shoe is made of the same material as the adult shoe. It’s overall look is the same as the adult shoe but the deatils are different. The children’s shoe features a silver Luke Skywalker. Instead of green Star Wars shoes laces, this shoes features green “mock” laces and a velcro tab with Star Wars written on it, making it easy to use with young children! The shoe is well constructed and offers plenty of support for new and active walkers.

This set of shoes looks great together! If you are a Star Wars fan with young children, this is a great way to share the joy of Star Wars with your kids!!
